Diamonds in the Rough – Charity Golf Event

Event Details

Join us for the 2022 Diamonds in the Rough Charity Golf Event brought to you by Helping Others Together (HOT) Community Foundation.  Proceeds from the event will support HOT’s Sugar Plum Fairies initiative, where we support struggling families in the West Valley by giving them a magical Christmas they will remember for years to come.

When: Sunday, May 1st and Monday, May 2nd, 2022

Where: Founders Course, Verrado Golf Club, Buckeye, AZ

Players

Open to Men and Women of all skill levels.  Golf is a 4 person scramble format with 3 flights.

The cost is $1000 per foursome.  This includes all of your green fees, tickets to the social event and lunch, as well as entry into all of the games with exception of the ball drop and 50/50 raffle.

It’s sure to be a fun event with lots of games and opportunities to win! Games include: chipping contest, putting contest, closest to the pin, longest drive, hole-in-one.  There will also be a 50-50 raffle, auction, and a ball drop.

Registration FAQs

Yes, only full teams are able to register for our event.  You will receive a Confirmation of Registration which will include all provided player names.  You can forward the Confirmation to the other players, if necessary.

All payments will be processed through PayPal. At the end of your registration there will be a “Checkout” button that will take you out to PayPal. Once there you can login to your PayPal account, or just enter your credit card information.  You will receive a receipt from PayPal.  If needed, you can provide copies of the receipt to the other players.

Yes! Golfer names can be changed up to 2 weeks before the event without charge. Changes in the 2 weeks before the event may include a $20 change fee. If you don’t know who is going to play in your team yet, you can always register now and then add your team member names later.

No, you can add GHIN numbers after registration is complete.  We will also be emailing all registered golfers before the event to ask for any missing GHIN numbers. 

No, GHIN numbers are only used to determine the flights for the tournament.  Players without GHIN numbers are welcome to play!
No, you can add email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses after registration is complete. We will follow up after you have registered if you have missing or invalid emails for your teammates.

Possibly, please check with your qualified tax advisor as it relates to your specific situation.  Donations to HOT qualify for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit.  When you make a donation, you can get a dollar-for-dollar credit on your Arizona state taxes, up to $800.  Helping Others Together Community Foundation Qualifying Charitable Organization code is 22342.

Cancellation Policy

The name of a player on your team can be replaced up to 72 hours prior to the start of the event for no charge.

Team cancellations made by March 20th, 2022 will be 100% refunded less a fixed processing fee of $20.00. Refunds will be processed through PayPal, if possible.

Team cancellations between March 21st, 2022 and April 10th, 2022 will be 50% refunded less a fixed processing fee of $20.00. Refunds will be processed through PayPal, if possible.

Team cancellations after April 11th, 2022 for ANY reason will not be refunded.
